Mariejan van Oort (1955)

I had my first singing lessons in the youth choir of the church in the town where I was born. At the age of 29 I decided to take individual lessons. This step was to change my further life.

For my development as a singer and a voice teacher I owe a lot to Anneg Konings-Brokstra, Eugenie Ditewig, Jean-René Toussaint and Dien Latour-Uijterschout. They inspired me to sing from a deeper source inside myself.
